Blog Michelle | March 05, 2019 12th Grade at Point High School Class of 2019 Why did you join the YAC? I joined the UCSD YAC not to get in the way of things, but rather to create a way. Create a way to end health inequities and positively impact my community. The most amazing thing is that "the change" is led by youth like myself, who have a strong desire and feel passionate about doing something that has not been accomplished. How has your participation in the YAC helped you develop as an individual? I joined the YAC in August 2018, and the past few months with this group have been eye-opening and amazing. As an individual, I have been able to enhance and develop communication, public speaking, and leadership skills. I put them in when doing group activities and when brainstorming for potential research/interview questions. What’s your dream job? My dream job is to be part of the World Health Organization.
