Creole Green Beans
Ingredients
2 cups fresh cut green beans, or 1 (16-ounce) package frozen green beans
2 teaspoons vegetable oil or oil of choice
2 small cloves garlic, chopped
1 cup chopped red bell pepper
1 cup chopped tomatoes
½ cup chopped celery
½ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper
Serving
Makes 4 servings. 1 cup per serving.
Time
25 minutes
Directions
  1. Heat oil in large skillet over low heat.
     
  2. Sauté garlic in oil for 1 minute.
     
  3. Add green beans and bell peppers; increase heat to medium and cook for 5 to 7 minutes.
     
  4. Stir in rest of the ingredients and cook for another 5 to 7 minutes. Serve hot.
