This year marks the 10th anniversary of the City Heights Farmers' Market! Planning for the farmers' market took over a year, with over 150 community members involved in the process. The market was one of the first in the nation to give shoppers the ability to use their SNAP EBT cards to buy fresh locally-grown fruits and vegetables. City Heights is one of the most diverse neighborhoods in the nation, with over 40 languages spoken, therefore, the market was established with the intent to reflect the diversity of the community and bring residents together to pursue healthy eating and encourage local commerce. Check out the videos to see how the farmers' market got started and all that it has to offer!
